Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Echoes Weather LLC (Echoes), a Utah limited liability company. By downloading, installing, or using Echoes Weather ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Use License

You may use this app for your own use, personal or professional. You may show the app and its imagery anywhere, including broadcasts and social media. You may not scrape, bulk-download, or programmatically extract data, resell access, or use the app's data to build or operate another product or service. Subscriptions are individual.

3. Accounts

An account is optional. The App works without one. If you sign in with Apple or Google, Echoes creates an account. The account is how one Premium subscription can be used on more than one platform.

You can delete your account in the iPhone app or the web app. If you have a web app subscription, cancel it first. A cancellation can take up to two hours to reach Echoes. Until it does, Echoes refuses the deletion. See Delete Your Account for the steps and for what happens to a subscription.

4. Subscriptions

Premium has two plans. If you subscribe in the web app, the prices and the free trial are the same as in the App Store.

  • Annual Plan: $24.99/year with 7-day free trial
  • Monthly Plan: $2.99/month, no trial
  • One Premium subscription per account. When Premium is available on your account, signing in with that account on another platform applies it there. Do not buy a second subscription for another platform; sign in with your account instead.
  • Cancel anytime. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. If you delete your account, a web app subscription ends with it; an App Store subscription does not.

App Store Purchases

  • Auto-renews unless cancelled 24+ hours before renewal
  • Cancel anytime in your Apple ID account settings
  • No refunds for partial periods (Apple policy)
  • Manage and request refunds through Apple, not Echoes

Web App Purchases

These terms apply if you subscribe in the web app at app.echoeswx.com.

  • Sign in before you subscribe. The subscription belongs to your account.
  • Echoes sells the subscription. Link (Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company) is the merchant of record. Link runs the checkout and takes your payment.
  • Your card details go to Link. They never reach Echoes servers.
  • Link charges sales tax where it applies and pays it to the tax authority.
  • On your card statement, the charge starts with LINK.COM*. Link sends your receipts.
  • Link's Sold Through Link Terms also apply to the purchase.
  • Auto-renews until you cancel
  • Cancel anytime. Select Manage subscription in the web app's account menu, or cancel at link.com.
  • For billing questions or a refund, contact Link support or email support@echoeswx.com. Echoes handles each request case by case. Link may also refund a payment within 60 days, under Link's refund policy.

5. Critical Weather Data Disclaimer

This app is for educational and informational purposes ONLY. It is not a substitute for official warnings from the National Weather Service.

DO NOT use this app as your sole source of weather information for safety-critical decisions or life-safety decisions during severe weather emergencies. Weather data may be:

  • Inaccurate
  • Delayed
  • Incomplete
  • Unavailable during outages

Always consult official sources (NOAA, NWS) for severe weather warnings. Echoes is NOT liable for any damages, injuries, or losses resulting from your use of this app or reliance on its data.

6. Data Sources

Weather data comes from NOAA, NWS, other government agencies, and other data providers. While Echoes strives for accuracy, it does not guarantee data is current, complete, or error-free.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Echoes is not liable for:

  • Data inaccuracies or delays
  • Service interruptions
  • Any damages from app use
  • Third-party data sources

8. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and using the app for lawful purposes only.

9. Termination

Echoes reserves the right to terminate access for violations of these terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States.

11. Changes

Echoes may revise these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
